Cornbelt IT Services was founded by Justen Cooper, a cyber security and IT infrastructure leader with over 20 years of experience protecting critical systems for some of the largest organizations in the world.
After the September 11th attacks, Justen made the decision to serve his country by joining the U.S. military, where he began building the discipline, leadership, and security mindset that would shape his entire career. Following his military service, he worked in enterprise contracting roles supporting large-scale government and defense organizations, including work supporting TACOM (U.S. Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command).
From there, Justen transitioned into enterprise IT and cyber security, eventually rising into executive leadership at Citi, one of the world’s largest financial institutions.

In these roles, he led global cyber security teams, protected infrastructure supporting tens of thousands of systems, and built enterprise security programs that met strict regulatory standards including NIST, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, SOC 2, and SOX. He delivered daily executive briefings to the CIO, managed global vulnerability management programs, and helped lead cyber fusion center operations protecting critical financial infrastructure.
